**Real Skills Training **are currently seeking to appoint a Trainee Trainer / Assessor to help deliver Residential Childcare qualifications and short courses from Levels 2 to 5. This is due to our ongoing expansion and demand within the sector with a view to progressing onto Apprenticeship provision. **Experience of delivering qualifications or training are not required for this role. You will be given full training as part of this role.**

Real Skills Training Ltd (RST) is an independent training provider based in the North West operating across England. Real Skills Training Ltd was formed to support the growth in the UK rail market and has grown to include traineeship and apprenticeship provision and into other sectors including Management, Childcare and Education training across both funded and commercial sectors.

**Key duties and responsibilities**
- Support apprentices and learners undertaking Qualifications in Residential Childcare from Level 2 up to Level 5.
- Assess learner evidence and providing constructive support and feedback.
- Have high expectations of learners and motivate and build a ‘can do’ attitude with them.
- Manage your own workload to ensure the full requirements of the post are carried out.
- Observe and assess learners to support them with their qualification and monitor progress to maximise their potential.
- Provide information and guidance to learners during their course.
- Travel to a variety of locations to make apprentice/employer visits as required.
- Carry out risk assessments for new settings, where needed.
- Communicate with employers and workplace mentors to confirm assessment dates, times and activities and to build positive relationships.
- Working to specific quality and completion of targets.
- Organising and maintaining documentation on learners’ progress.
- Maintain appropriate observational and assessment records and ensure relevant paperwork is completed to evidence the assessment process.
- Support and advise learners with portfolio building to target standard and ensure they are submitted on time.
- To work within the framework set out by Awarding Bodies or other accrediting agencies, including verification and moderation systems, whether set internally or externally.
- Receive and act on feedback from management, IQA and EQA.
- Play an active role in the department, contributing to meetings, schemes of work, assessment, updates as appropriate and share best practice.
- Develop new materials as relevant in order to enhance the delivery programme.

**Knowledge and experience required**
- Minimum of level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare.
- Excellent IT Skills
- Experience of using Microsoft Teams or Zoom is highly desirable.
- Vocational competence in Residential Childcare.
- Confident and professional with the ability to deal with any safeguarding issues or concerns.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Hold a full and clean driving licence

**Other Factors**
- Hold a full driving license.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £24,500.00-£26,000.00 per year
