Millfield School is currently seeking a dedicated Safeguarding Steward to collaborate with our Pastoral Team in maintaining a secure and respectful environment, particularly within the changing rooms. In this pivotal role, the Safeguarding Steward will actively contribute to the prevention of unruly behaviour, support security measures, and respond to safeguarding incidents through engaged and visible patrols.
The primary responsibilities for this role encompass a diverse range of duties aimed at fostering a safe and positive atmosphere. This includes the essential tasks of unlocking and locking changing rooms as needed, offering assistance to students when required, and facilitating access to lockers. The Safeguarding Steward will also play a crucial role in encouraging students to utilise facilities sensibly and responsibly.
Furthermore, the role involves addressing security concerns by promptly picking up valuable items, ensuring their safe return to lost property, and promoting security best practices among the school community. The Safeguarding Steward will diligently report any instances of unpleasant or inappropriate behaviour, as well as safeguarding concerns, in accordance with established reporting procedures.
The hours of work are 7am to 12pm for 18 Saturdays during term time. In recognition of your commitment and expertise, you will receive a salary of £11.10 per hour (plus statutory holiday pay), supplemented by an extensive range of benefits.
