Associate Deans (AD) will
- assist the Primary Care Dean to ensure all functions align with the HEE mandate, focussing on improving patient and learner safety and experience and ensuring effective educational outcomes.
- work across the spectrum of health and social care within the context of teams to provide education that reflects changing service models.

ADs will be appointed to cover specific portfolios of work.

System - focussing on shaping, codesigning and supporting the implementation of local strategies for the development of the primary care workforce, identifying and realising opportunities to achieve key outcomes in line with national policy.

**Frimley TH**: 1 session per week

The postholder will work closely with colleagues to develop and improve Systems, Placements and Quality across Thames Valley and Wessex.

The postholder will be expected to have significant experience of clinical and educational leadership and a track record of delivery in education and service.

They will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership skills with an ability to influence and motivate others in a politically sensitive environment.

These roles will require an understanding of healthcare/multi-professional workforce matters and experience of working with learners in an educational context.

Specific areas of focus for each of the portfolios will include:

- System - support the Head of School of Primary Care in the development of a strategy for delivery of training and education in line with multi-professional regulators.
- Placements and Quality - the development of quality processes to support and promote a quality learning environment for all learners.

The Primary Care Department is responsible for the delivery of general practice education, alongside training and development for the multi-professional primary care workforce.
