**Corporate Tax Senior - Flexible Hours, Hybrid Working, Top 100 Firm**

The Firm are a dynamic multi-disciplinary accountancy and business advisory practice operating from two offices - London and Guildford. They have 13 Partners with a wealth of knowledge and experience and are currently seeking a Corporate Tax Senior to jointheir growing team in Guildford, offering a flexible working hours environment.

**Main Purpose of the Role**:
To manage corporate tax compliance for a portfolio of clients and to assist the Tax Partner and Tax Manager with corporate tax advisory work. Responsibility for the compliance function for approx. 200 corporate tax clients, including owner managed businesses,Charities, Non-resident landlords etc. The role is approximately 70% compliance and 30% ad-hoc consulting work.

The role involves delegating work to the Tax Junior and to review the work when completed, assisting the Tax Junior where necessary.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Preparation of corporate tax returns for a broad range of clients
- Monitoring tax return progress to ensure timely completion and submission to HMRC for the corporation tax team.
- Have a good understanding of R & D tax relief and how to include such claims within the corporation tax return
- Tax advisory duties - to attend client meetings, take notes; assist with the tax advice arising by creating documents, spreadsheets and reports for the client. Manage the progress of each advisory project. Prepare the necessary tax returns regarding theresults of the project. Drafting the fees.
- Assistance with regards to Employment taxes, including preparation of form P11Ds, assistance with PAYE settlement agreements and preparation of forms 40/42.
- Dealing with technical queries as and when required, including the following areas; PAYE and payroll-related queries, IR35 regulations and off payroll working, Basic Corporation Tax computations including capital allowance claims, Groups, overseas withholdingtax set off and the new loss relief rules.
- Preparation and submission of CT61 forms
- Basic understanding of corporate re-organisations to assist on consultancy projects.
- Responsibility for the Company secretarial reporting for clients in the Guildford office.
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and following these through with the relevant partner.

**Qualifications and Experience**

Essential:

- A minimum of 3 years’ tax experience within a professional accountancy practice
- Ideally, CTA finalist with study support available to complete qualification
- Experience of working on long term client relationships and of working on a fee basis with clients

Desirable:

- Good working knowledge of Alphatax or CCH Corporation Tax and CCH Documents Filing
