Credit Controller

Our client is based in Hastings and due to their continual growth, we are delighted to be recruiting for a Credit Controller to join their team.

**Main Duties**:

- Setting up customer accounts and setting credit limits based on company risk management policies.
- Credit referencing and insurance cover activities at account set up, period credit reviews and adhoc customer credit increase requests.
- Effective liaison with the agencies, branches, insurers, customers, and credit control manager to ensure policy compliance.
- Effective liaison with the above stakeholders to collect cash timely and meet collection targets.
- To issue statements, chasing letters and administrate other month end processes as directed.
- Recording and allocating payments for sales ledger.
- To inform departments of issues with debts and liaise with colleagues across the organisation to ensure issues are resolved promptly.
- To maintain and control Debtor accounts, including statement addresses, their trading status and maintaining records on the computerised debtor’s system.

**Experience**:

- Experienced in a Credit Control capacity.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to communicate effectively.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet annual and monthly targets.
- Strong communication skills and a good telephone manner.
- Computer literate with a proficiency in Excel and Word.
- General knowledge of accountancy would be an advantage.

**Working Hours**:

- Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm
- Friday 8am to 12pm.
