The Extrusion department is currently looking for a full-time operator within the **EBCU** department working 12 hour shifts on a 24-hour shift pattern.
**Key Responsibilities**:
The key objective of the EBCU Operator role is to maximise production in the EBCU Department in a safe and efficient manner whilst ensuring product quality is maintained and wastage minimised.
**Job Functions include**:
- Work in line with all department targets and objectives are met - safety, quality, hygiene, housekeeping, accounting regulations.
- Have good knowledge of Emergency procedures and be competent to ensure that the correct actions are undertaken.
- Accurately Record and retain all department data:
- Ensuring that all work undertaken is carried out in a safe and proper manner
- Ensure that EBCU machinery is run within given tolerances and that periodic checks are carried out
- Ensuring that all written documentation is updated correctly, and all relevant production data recorded
- Taking appropriate action to troubleshoot and/or highlight problems when necessary
- Conducting quality checks at the specified frequencies.
- Assisting maintenance when required
- Identifying and recommending areas for improvement
- Participating in continuous improvement projects

**Salary**: £10.67 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Swansea, Swansea: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
