art-K is a private art education service which teaches children (who love art). art-K has developed a specialist art program that tutors art skills to create great pieces of art. We are the largest children's art education service in England, teaching over 5500 children nationally per week

**Job purpose**

Supporting numerous areas within the company where project management skills are required to coordinate and manage events in a planned and organised way. For example, scheduling utility suppliers to cut costs at the end of fixed contracts; fitting out new clubs with stock and setting up operational contracts. The job role will be instrumental in supporting the company to continue to grow.

The successful applicant will be given training and will be closely supported by the Project Manager as well as the central support team.

**Job responsibilities**

**Researching data.**
- Analysis of statistics that informs art-K about where it’s safe to open new clubs.
- Searching online for new properties, arranging viewings and attending site visits.

**Project Management**
- Scheduling tasks to set-up the new studio from stock to managing labour; on site supervision will be required to allow for smooth implementation.
- Organising rates, utilities, internet and contractors for smooth opening of a new studio.

**Coordinating other items**
- Comparing quotes from different contractors to determine the best value service to use.
- Coordinating maintenance of studios and evaluating effectiveness of those services.
- Running ‘to do’ and ‘update’ spreadsheets for coordination.
- Maintaining a preferred supplier list.

**Training & policies**
- Supporting employees on training relating to the role.
- Supporting writing new policies to aid the running of the studios effectively.

**Formal Qualifications**

A numerically based degree 2:1 or above.

Evidence of using software to plan and control a project.

Part qualified or working towards PRINCE2 would be an advantage.
- Time management skills to ensure the correct tasks are prioritised depending on short-term and long-term objectives and balancing importance with urgency.
- Ability to plan and prioritise items.
- Strong organisational skills to coordinate different aspects of projects.
- Attention to detail to anticipate events step by step in the future as projects unfold will definitely help the applicant succeed in this role.
- Ability to forward plan projects and flexibility to adapt to changes in situations.
- Positive written and verbal communication to keep all parties informed and updated of projects are an essential attribute.

**Salary**: £26.000 - £30.000
**Working days**: Monday to Friday 8 hours per day between 9-5pm
