**Role Overview**:
The hours of work for this role are:
Monday - Thursday - 07.15 - 16.00 & Friday - 07.15 - 14.15

Reporting to the Production and Planning Team Leader, your role will be responsible for Bead Blasting stainless steel fabrications. Other duties are outlined below:
**Main duties will include**:

- Learn how to handle manufacturing stainless steel products into the Beast Blaster, carrying out the required operation and removing blasted products from the Beast Blast ready for the next manufacturing stage.
- Learn how to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Assist with any shop floor activity required involved during the assembly of products, including removing plastic coatings, deburring and finishing.
- Learn to carry out product finishing duties including polishing, drilling and sawing.
- Use hand and pneumatic tools to carry out daily tasks.
- Maintain equipment in a safe, clean and in good working order
- Ensure areas are kept clean and tidy and Health and Safety procedures and policies are adhered to at all times.
- Any other duties as required and within the skill set of this role.
**Skills & Experience Required**:

- Bead or shot blasting experience is preferable. Full training will be given.
- This role is undertaken in a relatively small and confined bead blast unit and requires the operative to wear a full protective suit and helmet at all times whilst bead blasting.
- Experience of working on a shop-floor environment would be an advantage but not a requirement.
- Possess a strong work ethic that ensures quality is paramount in everything you produce.
- Be able to agree and meet reasonable time scales for the work required.
- Ability to work within a team or on your own.
- Being able to use your own initiative to solve problems.
- Have an attention to detail and quality.
- Possess a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Having a forklift licence is a distinct advantage.
