Wellbeing Officer

**Wellbeing Officer (Bank contract)**:
We currently have an opportunity for a Wellbeing Officer who is compassionate and adaptable to provide support to our older people in our housing scheme Royd Court based in Mirfield, West Yorkshire. See our home here.

Royd Court is an award-winning housing scheme for older people. The home is set in beautiful grounds with 58 one and two-bedroom flats. It offers a warm and friendly environment where occupants enjoy both the independence of their own homes and the peace of mind of being in a secure scheme, where they can receive excellent personal care and support when needed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare items and launder as per the chosen Wellbeing package;
- Ensure that routine cleaning of the service where you work is performed effectively;
- Be prepared to assist the client in the preparation of light meals or the delivery of food from the main kitchen in an emergency situation and as part of a Wellbeing package;
- Provide a shopping service as determined by the Wellbeing package;
- Advise the client when cleaning stocks need to be replaced.

**About you**:

- Experience working in a similar role or in a care setting is desirable but not essential;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- A caring and compassionate nature;
- Good time-management skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings if required.
