**About the team**

You will be part of a team that develops one of the largest-by-volume global payment platforms in the world, focussing intensively on robustness, security, and capacity that can process over 800 transactions every second and exceeding 10 million successful payments every day. If you are a frequent online shopper then there's a good chance that you are a customer, and our payments gateway was involved behind the scenes.

**What you will be doing**

You will join two of our cross-functional teams containing developers, testers, a product owner and a scrum master. You are a servant leader, relentlessly removing obstacles with your unwavering focus on the team meeting its commitments. You will partner with the Product Owner and Development manager to drive improvement to our team processes and capabilities. We use the SAFE framework so we get together as an organisation every 3 months to review requirements, design a solution, and commit to a plan to deliver. As the Scrum Master you will have an instrumental role in the success of our team with some core duties being:

- Lead the scrum ceremonies to drive sustainable and engaging delivery with the team.
- Lead the team through the quarterly SAFE PI planning sessions and come out with a clear plan.
- Provide leadership and a structure for Continuous Improvement in the team.
- Teach and coach agile practices tailored' to the team's needs and build the understanding and engagement for adoption.
- Be a role model for effective hybrid office and home working practices.
- Build a network across the organisation allowing us to connect and work more effectively as a group.
- Be data and metrics-driven

**What you bring**:

- A track record of personal achievement in high-performing software teams.
- Effective stakeholder management to coordinate and communicate team and programme level information.
- Ability to understand business and technology concepts quickly and able to facilitate those conversations with technical and non-technical team members.
- Understands the SDLC and has an appreciation for learning how different organisations adapt this.
- An inquisitive personality that is always looking for constant improvement opportunities for the team and their own understanding.
- Strong mentoring, coaching and leadership skills
- Good working experience in an Agile environment, preferably in SAFe, Scrum and/or Kanban
- Experience working across multiple technical, software, or business unit teams to develop software solutions

**Added bonus if you have**:

- Payments industry or Financial Services experience
- Agile certifications
- Experience in SAFe Agile framework
- Experience (for task empathy) as a software engineer
