Our client, an industry-leading, independent security specialist is looking to add to their growing team with the role of Security Sales Consultant.

**About the role**

This is an exciting role reporting directly to the CEO and Operations Director within their specialist security business in Blackburn, which has spent over 25 years delivering tailored security solutions (including 247 monitoring services) to high-net-worth individuals, sports stars and celebrities, and prestige commercial clients.

The role has responsibility for:

- Delivering a sales target of £1m per annum. (Not immediately - the key is to be confident in the solutions you can offer and build relationships on trust, not under-pressure targets)
- Developing and building a pipeline of opportunities for installing state of the art security systems and monitoring solutions.
- Opening doors with potential new clients and building relationships in the North West of England.
- Working with a design team to build tailored solutions important to the lives and safety of clients and their families.

The main activities for this role are:

- Working closely with specialist team members, such as estimators, engineers and project managers, to co-ordinate a smooth buying process for potential clients.
- Contacting prospects, both in person and online using LinkedIn.
- Making site visits across the North West.
- Conducting surveys and estimates.
- Writing and presenting proposals.
- Making presentations.
- Gaining buy-in from senior decision makers.
- Contributing to the design of projects.

**About you**

You are driven, ambitious and goal orientated, with a strong sense of urgency to get things done quickly.

You proactively use your initiative to solve problems, taking a logical, organised approach and owning the role function.

You have strong negotiation skills and enjoy overcoming objections and resistance, achieving goals in the face of obstacles.

You focus on building long-term relationships and care passionately about what you do, with a desire to do it to the best of your ability. Your ethos is “do it right, or don’t do it at all”.

To be successful in this role, here’s what you will be able to evidence having accomplished before:

- Strong consultancy sales skills.
- Experience of security systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to understand and translate customer needs into benefits and produce compelling propositions and quotations.
- Excellent people skills.
- Full driving licence.
- Minimum 5 GCSEs at grade A-C.

Additionally, it would be beneficial if you have knowledge and/or skills in the following areas:

- An understanding of NACOSS Standards.
- Fire Detection and Alarm Systems, EVCS, PAVA.
- Access Control, CCTV, Intruder, Security.
- Consultative and value selling.
- Finance - estimating, costing and budgeting with use of commercial tools.

You will likely have held roles as a business development manager, sales engineer or security consultant.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £36,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
