**Dynamic working pattern**:Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working due to the operational nature of this role on site working is required 3-4 days per week.

**The opportunity**:
Due to increased production demands, a senior management role has arisen in the Manufacturing UK organisation responsible for the successful delivery of a specific product line, (Tactical Strike, Air Dominance, Force Protection etc)

This role is a critical role within the business ensuring the delivery on time, on cost and on quality of the complete product line reporting to the Sector Head of Manufacturing Programmes and into each of the Programmes organisations.

Strong Leadership is required, directly managing a small team of Programme Managers and Project Managers but leading via a matrix organisation a large proportion of the Manufacturing Organisation.

Your duties will include:

- Ensuring alignment of all portfolios and programmes within the product line.
- Balancing demand and de-conflicting priorities in order to deliver a clear and concise message to all internal manufacturing stakeholders across the product line.
- Working closely with the other Manufacturing Programmes and Chief Manufacturing Systems Engineers to ensure alignment across all product lines in terms of Manufacturing Strategy.

**What we're looking for from you**:

- Defining and optimising the manufacturing strategy for the product line, in conjunction with Programmes and Manufacturing teams in MBDA France, Italy and Germany.
- Develop & maintain key relationships with the programme teams & wider MBDA stakeholders.
- Accountable for the manufacturing delivery plan ensuring alignment across the product line.
- Ensure robust workload forecasts are delivered in line with business and project needs.
- Maintain control of programme scope ensuring alignment of funding to deliver the plan managing any issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Accountable for overall production costs including understanding of all up spend within the project in accordance with the monthly drumbeat & EAC.
- Support the development of the integrated schedule in particular the transition between development and the series production.
- Implement effective project management processes, tools and reporting mechanisms on achievement of the programme deliverables in line with the delivery plan and budgets.
- Manage deployed resources such that multiple stakeholder interfaces are appropriately maintained to ensure programme delivery
- Support activities related to the winning of new and follow-on business,
- Proactive risk identification, management, and mitigation throughout the programme life cycle.
