Jesse Smith’s Farmshop - Cirencester
Shifts: 4am start, full time
£28,000 starting + for fully trained catering experience

Due to continued growth we are looking to grow our excellent team.

Jesse Smith are a family run business, running 6 retail shops throughout the Cotswolds with a wholesale catering unit and production kitchen at our site on Love Lane, Cirencester.

Starting in 1808 in the center of Cirencester, Jesse Smith now delivers all over the Cotswolds and further afield. We are looking to explore new ways to grow our wholesale business and are looking for keen and enthusiastic people to help with this

We now have a fantastic opportunity to take on a butcher to our growing team. We are looking for someone keen and passionate about food. This role is for someone with good all round butchery experience. With a recent expansion in our wholesale department we are looking for someone who has experience in all areas of butchery.

The Job Role
- To work effectively within a catering team helping production and boning of both whole carcass and boxed meats, lamb, beef, pork and chicken.
- You will work with the catering manager helping with all butchery jobs to help the catering unit move forward and bring new ideas to the team.
- Portion control steaks and other products with precision and quality.
- Helping keep a tidy workstation working with the team to create a clean and safe working environment.
- Wrapping, packing, burger and sausage making and other all-round butcher jobs.
- Will need to have a good understanding of butchery in all areas with a minimum of 1 years’ experience
- Be enthusiastic about butchery and a lover of food to continue to move the business forward in unstable times
- Able to work well in a team with good communication skills

This role is a 48 hour per week minimum with 28 days holiday including bank holidays.

**Salary**: £28,000.00 minimum higher wages will be applied for fully qualified catering butchers.
