**About the role**

Booker Group are looking for a talented and motivated IS Analyst for the Field System Support team. The applicant should have a real aptitude for technology and thrive on providing an exemplary customer service to support Business Centres, Distribution Centresand Support Centres to help improve customer satisfaction and cash profit.

This role will have specific focus on support in the South West, South Wales & Midlands but further UK travel is expected. The role includes providing telephone support outside of standard business hours on a rota basis.

**Role Responsibility**

Health, Safe and Legal (Governance, Security and Controls):

- Comply with change management procedures and system security.
- Comply with all company policies, e.g. IT security and control, health and safety.
- Follow agreed procedures to resolve technical and procedural problems and escalate as required.
- Comply with IT supplier contracts and licensing agreements to ensure we remain compliant with contractual terms and conditions.
- Comply with Project Risk Assessments.
- Champion diversity and inclusion to ensure everyone feels welcome at Booker.

Customer Satisfaction:

- Work to identify issues that will or are impacting systems stability, availability and functionality, and then work promptly, jointly & proactively to mitigate and resolve such issues.
- Prioritise and promptly resolve technical and procedural issues.
- Specify enhancements to systems, log system deficiencies and then work to test the delivered software.
- Work to reliably and efficiently produce timely and accurate management information.
- Provide training and guidance to end users as required.
- Work with colleagues, customers and suppliers to manage service perception and the understanding of IS services.
- Work proactively with stakeholders to improve processes and maximise system asset utilization.
- Work to deliver system improvements and projects to support the company's growth plans.
- Work promptly, jointly & proactively on projects to improve cash profit & customer satisfaction.
- Work to deliver approved projects in full to agreed budgets and timescales.

Cash Profit:

- Work with suppliers and other stakeholders to achieve effective solutions.
- Comply with procedures to store and re-use IS equipment effectively and efficiently.
- Provide operational and technical IS Support to Business Centres, taking decisions that consider branch time constraints that could affect the ability to trade

**You will need**
- Good understanding of working with Technology such as; EPOS Systems, RF Devices, printers, thin clients and mobile handheld devices
- Knowledge of networking connectivity
- Knowledge of wholesale industry business processes.
- Service management skills.
- Consistent delivery of results.
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
- Ability to run and terminate network cabling (or desire and willingness to learn)
- Desire to learn / add value / drive progress.
- Excellence in building positive relationships with business stakeholders.
- Good technical trouble shooting and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritise activities and organise own work schedule where applicable
- Good written and verbal communication skills, being able to communicate effectively and efficiently with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change
- Be physically able to carry out manual handling tasks
- Comfortable working at height as there maybe occasional requirement to work from ladders

Valid Full UK Driving Licence
