**Are you an excellent Cover Supervisor / Secondary Cover Supervisor looking for flexible work?**

**Protocol is currently recruiting for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of amazing secondary schools based in the Barnet area. If you are looking for flexibility and day-to-day work, cover supervision is a great opportunity to gain experience in a variety of local schools and a chance to find a short-term or long-term placement in a school you enjoy working at.**

**Key responsibilities**:
**Successfully manage the behaviour of the class following the schools' behaviour policies.**

**Foster positive relationships with students by being a role model and ensure students are on task.**

**Work collaboratively with the cover manager and the rest of the team to ensure the smooth running of the school day in the absence of class teachers.**

**Act as an ambassador for Protocol Education by being punctual and professional at all times.**

**Have some experience working with young people or in an educational setting.**

**Are an excellent communicator and have a natural ability to work and build positive rapport with young people.**

**Have good knowledge of child protection and safeguarding guidelines (an up-to-date DBS that is registered on the Update Service is desirable but not essential at this stage).**

**Have the ability to work collaboratively as well as taking ownership of your own workload.**

**Are considering a career in teaching or education.**

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
