**Are you an excellent Cover Supervisor / Secondary Cover Supervisor looking for flexible work?**

**Protocol is currently recruiting for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of amazing secondary schools based in the Barnet area. If you are looking for flexibility and day-to-day work, cover supervision is a great opportunity to gain experience in a variety of local schools and a chance to find a short-term or long-term placement in a school you enjoy working at.**

**Key responsibilities**:
**Successfully manage the behaviour of the class following the schools' behaviour policies.**

**Foster positive relationships with students by being a role model and ensure students are on task.**

**Work collaboratively with the cover manager and the rest of the team to ensure the smooth running of the school day in the absence of class teachers.**

**Act as an ambassador for Protocol Education by being punctual and professional at all times.**

**Have some experience working with young people or in an educational setting.**

**Are an excellent communicator and have a natural ability to work and build positive rapport with young people.**

**Have good knowledge of child protection and safeguarding guidelines (an up-to-date DBS that is registered on the Update Service is desirable but not essential at this stage).**

**Have the ability to work collaboratively as well as taking ownership of your own workload.**

**All of our supply staff are paid on a PAYE basis, so you can rest assured that you’re paying the right level of Tax and National Insurance and there’s no messing around with admin charges coming out of your hard earned cash. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
