We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated apprentice that is keen to learn as they work and gain a qualification in childcare. Some duties include:

- To adhere to all policies and procedure and the statutory guidance
- To contribute and work towards your own Personal Development Plan, training and objectives in partnership with your Manager
- To plan and prepare exciting play opportunities that meet the children’s developmental needs and stimulates their learning following the Early Years Foundation Stage and Every Child Matters framework
- To actively contribute your ideas for both indoor and outdoor play and learning experiences
- To respect the equipment and resources in the nursery and take responsibility for keeping your room tidy
- To establish and maintain positive relationships with children and their families in a way that values parental involvement
- To observe children’s development and keep accurate records of their achievement
- To provide a service that respects children’s life experiences and celebrates diversity in terms of language, culture, ability, race and religion
- To work effectively and positively as part of a team
- To carry out duties and responsibilities of the post with regard to the Equal Opportunities Policy
- To attend and participate in staff meetings, training, planning and staff development days To act as an ambassador for the organisation and maintain a positive image of its mission, aims and objectives
- To assist in keeping children safe at all times
