Stores Operator - Automotive
Location: Woking

Our client is an automotive luxury brand, with a global reputation for producing luxury performance vehicles. Working with some of the most iconic designs using modern engineering this company is one of a kind and their attention to detail is second to none.
They are currently seeking to recruit a Stores Operator on a contract basis.
Duties of the Stores Operator:
- Picking of stock as required by Prototype Build team
- Effective communication and feedback back to the business.
- Ensure health and safety standards are achieved on an ongoing basis and actively promote individual responsibility for health and safety.
- Own, review and improve the operating environment through establishing and maintaining housekeeping standards.
- Coordinate/ Ensure all requisitions are picked and booked for Prototype vehicles as per the picking process
- Report any shortages to the Prototype Material Controller or Technical Buyer and Prototype Build Engineering team and support accurate data document control for the build team
- Ensure any hot parts are processed to line as quickly as possible.
- Maintain inventory records.
- Liaise with the wider Logistics community in the Test Operations team to continually improve the warehouse systems and forward ideas onto the relevant line managers.
- Perform daily tasks as administered by the Principal Prototype Build Engineer.
The ideal Stores Operator will have:
- Detailed working and understanding of a sequenced materials production environment.
- Previous experience within the manufacturing industry, especially automotive serial production.
- Numerate & literate with effective communication skills.
- IT literate and have good organization skills.
- Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Flexible approach to working hours with good time management
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Professional, respectful, and courteous approach at all times.
- Effective written and verbal communication to peers and reports.
- Full Driving License preferable
