The Trust's portering teams support the provision of a timely and reliable service to all wards, departments and specialist areas throughout the Trust's two main acute Hospital sites, the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven and the Cumberland Infirmary at Carlisle.

Bank Porters deliver a range of portering and security functions in support of the existing Shift Team in order to distribute the increased workloads demanded by the vast majority of departments during standard working hours.
