Job description

United Avia is currently looking to recruit professional, respectful, consistent and efficient **Airport Security Officers** based in Northolt.

We are looking for a confident, customer focused individual with a strict attention to detail and eager to work within an Airport environment?

**Salary: Basic Hourly Rate: starting at £11.50 upto £12.50**

Hours: Mon - Fri: - 12 hr shifts - 07:00 - 19:00

Sat - Sun: - 8 hr shifts

Please note: hours could change depending on operational needs.

Principal Duties:

- The main purpose of this role is to maintain security standards and ensure the smooth transition of all customers, staff, and airport users through the airport.
- To screen all personnel passing through restricted areas, by using both archway detectors and manual body searching where necessary.
- To screen all items being carried into restricted areas, using x-ray screening and trace detection equipment and to undertake manual searching, in order to ensure that no prohibited items are taken into the restricted zone and to ensure that the safety of the aircraft, passengers and crews is maintained.

**To meet the security requirements, you will need**:

- A fully checkable reference history to cover the last 5 years
- Right to work in the U.K
- Successful clearance of a Criminal Record Check and Counter Terrorism Check.
- Available for full time training and exams as required
- Flexibility according to operational needs

**Required Characteristics**:

- Able to work well independently as well as within a team
- Good written and spoken English
- Capable of carrying out physical searches

**Salary**: £11.50-£12.50 per hour
