Highly respected company based in Truro, Cornwall are looking to recruit a permanent NEBOSH Advisor. Applications are welcome from recently NEBOSH qualified professionals looking for their first H&S job role
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and maintain a positive Health, Safety & Environmental culture.
- Improve and sustain audit performance and ensure NCRs from audits are actioned, recorded and closed out.
- Support the Senior Operations Manager and ASG HSE Manager during Regulatory Inspections and ensure requirements are actioned, recorded and closed out satisfactorily using Benchmark.
- Keep up to date on legal, local and other requirements that may affect the Company.
- Maintain the companies H&S Management system. Implementing and Reviewing as necessary Including Risk Assessments, SDS and CoSHH requirements and Training requirements.
Continually reduce accidents and incident rates by proactive solutions
- Support for H&S Reps, Fire Wardens and First Aiders.
- Ensure accidents, incidents and near misses are reported and investigated correctly working with HR and Managers.
- Conduct accident reviews and assist with back to work programmes.
- Collect and report HSE performance daily, weekly, and/or monthly as required.
- Inspects workplace areas to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
- Help to develop effective health and safety policies and procedures and carry out risk assessments
- Arrange and assist with holding monthly HSE Committee meetings.
- Develop Safe Systems of Work within the Operational Team.
- Develop and carry out various risk assessments as required.
- Identify any HSE Training requirements alongside HR and deliver any training programmes required.
- Take Care of Waste Management and provide recycling initiatives
- Instructs workers in the proper use of protective clothing and safety devices
- Delivers monthly safety toolbox talks and face to face training where required
- Liaise with HR in managing annual health surveillance
- liaising with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance
**Qualifications**:
- NVQ/SVQ at Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice or equivalent
- Achieved or working towards NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience in ISO 45001, ISO9001, ISO14001 of benefit
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

- truro: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
