**Supported Living Worker**

**Location**: Beare Green near Dorking

**Salary**: £20,594 - £21,330 (£10.70 - £11.09 per hour), based on 37 hours per week, rising to £11.28- £12.39 per hour*

**Additional £1,000 Retention Bonus**

Long Barn, part of St Joseph’s Specialist Trust, is a supported living house at Beare Green, near Dorking for five younger adult tenants who have a range of special needs including autism, complex learning difficulties and some severe and challenging behaviour.

You will support the tenants to do the same daily activities that you might do in your own life, including cooking, cleaning and shopping for essentials. The tenants also like to access the community and you may be accompanying them to visit local facilitiesor attractions, attend college or on trips further afield. Long Barn is their home and the tenants like to relax and enjoy their leisure time. Due to the rural location, the role requires driving Tenants and staff using your personal vehicle (appropriatelyinsured) and / or Motability / company vehicles, with appropriate license. This will be discussed at interview.

Comprehensive training and mentoring means we will equip you with the confidence to support our young adults and provide safe and effective intervention if needed. If you are recruited, you will be required to complete Team Teach positive behaviour supporttraining before employment. Physical and mental resilience and a "can do" attitude are essential. Own transport is desirable because this location is semi-rural.

This supported living home is located in Beare Green, Surrey. It is a 10 minute drive from Dorking, a 16 minute drive from Horsham and 35 minute drive from Guildford. We have similar openings at our Springvale Supported Living House in Cranleigh - see theTrust website for further details.
