We are looking for a Receptionist / Reservationist to join our friendly reception team here at The Daffodil Hotel and Spa. Role ideally suited to someone looking to work five days per week, including some mornings, evenings and weekends, with shift patterns of 7am to 3.30pm or 9am to 5.30pm when in reservations.

As a receptionist you will act as the face of the hotel, greeting new arrivals and being the first point of call for queries and information. You will build rapport with our guests and contribute to making their stay a memorable and positive experience. As reservationist, you will work part of the sales team, managing hotel enquiries and bookings.

**THE DAY-TO-DAY**
- Greet guests in a professional and timely manner and responding to their individual needs appropriately.
- Have full knowledge of hotel bedrooms, facilities, services and company products.
- Provide reception service to guests for inquiries, reservations, arrivals, departures and cancellations.
- Ensure that all floats are correct at all times and deal with any discrepancies immediately.
- Ensure invoicing procedures and revenue postings for hotel services are correctly implemented
- Deal with lost property
- Have full knowledge of the Opera, Switchboard, PDQ system, filing system and all other equipment based in reception.
- To be responsible for the upkeep of the front and back office.
- To work alongside other departments and support their function as required.
- To identify problems a they arise and address these promptly while managing other duties.
- To actively seek to up sell rooms and extras in a professional and proficient manner.
- Make sure all procedures on reception are carried out accurately and diligently.
- To perform any additional duties as required to contribute to the over all aims of the business.

**The Person**:

- Previous experience of working in a similar role would be preferred, but is not essential as full training can be provided
- Hospitality experience in a 4-star hotel is essential
- No qualifications necessary, however a basic understanding of Maths and English is required
- Strong customer service skills, an attention to detail and good communication skills are vital
- Must be smart and well presented
- Ability to work well as a member of the team and hotel family
