**Associate Director of Design**

**£60,000 depending on experience**

NPS Leeds have a fantastic opportunity for an Associate Director of Design to join our team, taking responsibility for the creation and implementation of projects and ensuring that the design team deliver projects on time and within budget.

**Main Responsibilities will include**:

- Provide inspirational leadership, management and direction in a manner consistent with the Group’s values.
- Support the relevant director in establishing overall design vision, philosophy, and work process for client projects and design teams.
- Support the coordination of projects and facilitate communications within the various project teams in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Ensure that business plan targets are agreed each year with the relevant director and an action plan are developed and implemented to achieve the business plan targets.
- Ensure that business systems and databases are kept current and up to date.
- Ensure that staff resource requirements are forward planned to allow efficient and profitable delivery of services.
- Meeting new clients to take the initial brief on projects and communicating this to the design team.
- Creating concepts and design solutions for clients, and support design teams to raise the bar on design quality.
- Establish and improve project workflow process and procedures
- Develop and market services through networking and the production and implementation of the local and/ or national marketing and business development action plan and bidding activities.
- Establish a clear programme of both formal and informal design reviews within the office with the overall aim of driving forward design quality.

You will have extensive experience in a similar or related role alongside:

- A professional membership of the Architecture Registration Board and professional Chartered Membership of the Royal Institute of British Architects
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Architecture related discipline
- Hold a current site card or is prepared to immediately attain
- Previous management experience
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD
- Understanding of Business Planning, Commercial Risk Management and Financial Management
