This is a senior management position with significant influence towards our operational performance, working closely with the operations director and the operations team alongside other department heads, to manage and strategically lead the Depot Team and the Quality Team, ensuring that the supply of pallets meets our customers’ requirements by overseeing service levels across our network of third party service providers (depots and repair centres), and outsourced manufacturers/suppliers in accordance with documented quality standards. The role also works to assimilate operational and financial data to measure performance and to assess the form propositions. IPP is part of an international group of companies under Faber Group and it enjoys autonomy with the backing of the larger organisation. You will have at least 5 years’ demonstrable experience within a fast paced service or logistics environment (preferably FMCG) managing multiple and/or remote teams as well as remote 3rd party operated service providers with a spend in excess of £15M p.a., and can demonstrate an awareness of commercial and operating procedures.

You will be motivated to meet all operating requirements and KPIs. You will also be passionate about attention to detail and the delivery of service, have an inquisitive mindset which leads you to question the status quo and offer considered solutions and/or ideas for improvement.

You will be proactive, a team player, adaptable to change, and be comfortable in a fast paced and competitive environment.

With strong communication skills you will be able to build good working relationships, both within our business, and with external stakeholders. You will also be expected to contribute to the general leadership within operations in this growing and developing business
