Draughtsman / CAD Technician required on a full-time permanent basis - I am working with my client who require a hard-working and experienced Draughtsman / Cad Technician to join a busy team to who is looking to develop a long term and committed careerwithin a growing business.
Main Duties:

- You will be responsible for Producing 2D electrical schematics and interconnection drawings for LV Distribution and Control.
- Interpret customer requirements and technical specifications and responsibility for the following:

- Solidworks / AutoCad operator focusing on electrical requirements of the Engineering Dept.
- Knowledge / experience of electrical control panel design for industrial equipment.
- Read, understand and produce LV Electrical front of panel layout drawings, LV electrical control schematics and interconnection diagrams derived from customer, and internal, specifications.
- Following instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings
- Meeting with engineers, draftsmen, and designers to review blueprints and design drawings.
- Inputting design specifications into the CAD software.
- Creating surface and solid CAD models according to client specifications.
- Working with a design team and individually on CAD projects.
- Reviewing CAD models with the client and making minor adjustments.
- Conducing final model rendering and delivering the final product.
- Completing job reports.
- Coordinating filing, storage and retrieval of drawings
- Work with architects, engineers, building services and other construction workers in producing plans and drawings.
- Liaise with workshop staff to create SOP's and streamline electrical equipment design and build within the company.
- Ability to work unsupervised and create detailed electrical drawings as detailed above and manufacturing package of drawings, parts lists and BOM's.
What we need from you:

- Min 2 years' experience in this role
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or design / CAD Certification.
- Previous experience as a CAD technician / Draughtsman - essential
- Advanced knowledge of CAD and AutoCAD software - essential
- Ability to read and translate blueprints and technical drawings.
- Basic understanding of building design and mechanical processes.
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually on projects.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong communication skills.
