We are looking to recruit additional Band 6 nurses to join our current team. We recognise the need for the department to have a Band 6 nurse on every shift, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week so recruiting to these new positions will enable that to be the case.

Ward 4 is a 28 bed, adult, acute, medical ward, caring for patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions. We provide acute intervention and management of the patient in respiratory failure using Bi-level Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV) and Nasal High Flow Oxygen therapy.

You will be expected to provide clinical leadership and to play a key role in decision making and treatment planning for the patients.

The role is pressured at times and you will be expected to work to tight deadlines, you will need to be proactive and efficient, self-directed and self-aware.

You will have the opportunity to learn various management skills including investigations, complaint responses, report writing, absence management and represent the team at different meetings and steering groups..
