Job Introduction
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team at Castlelaw which is situated near the small village of Penicuik, in the Pentland Hills Regional Park.

As the Site Supervisor you are responsible for managing and working alongside a team of 3 Operatives to ensure that the team is motivated and engaged to facilitate the MOD training requirements. You will support the delivery of site training area facilities to meet the contractual requirements of our business.

The successful applicant will have be hands on with experience of supervisory roles in facilities Management or similar with an ability to solve problems and be proficient in IT skills to allow them to manage the administration required for the role.

Main Responsibilities
Manage a team of people in respect to performance, attendance behaviour, capability, welfare health and safety and record

Ensure that all the training estate facilities are fit for purpose

Ensure resources are fit for purpose

Liaise with Stakeholders

Complete relevant documentation using IT equipment

Maintenance and setting up of firing ranges

Construction of targets for range use

Preventative and Reactive maintenance tasks

Grounds maintenance such as fencing, mowing and strimming

Potential for forestry work such as removal of fallen trees - training will be provided

Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment - training will be provided

Driving and operating fleet vehicles

To ensure that the Training Estate Facilities adhere to safe systems of work

Experience in a Supervisor role

Knowledge of H&S such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work

Matrix management

Knowledge of workload scheduling

Strong management skills

Willingness to undertake full training

Have a full drivers licence valid in the United Kingdom

Drive continuous improvement

Able to manage and work with sub-contractors

Hours:
Your working hours per day may vary depending on site requirements. Any hours worked in addition to the 37 hours per week will qualify for TOIL or overtime payment. You will be required to be flexible in your approach and must be able to commit to regularly working up until midnight to cover night shooting on the ranges or starting at 7.30am.
