**What’s this about?**

Crucible Gaming is one of the UK’s leading developers of online casino games, with customers in over 40 countries. We are expanding our team, and we are seeking a **GAME MATHEMATICIAN** to join us. Due to the hands-on nature of this role and the black art that is gambling maths, you will need to be based in our Sheffield City Centre office.

We’re looking for someone at Masters level or similar to work with our game & server development teams to help create some amazing casino game content which will be visible on all major gaming operators both UK and internationally.

**What is the role?**
- Model casino style games in Excel and C#/Python
- Code simulations in any language you like for more complex games
- Work with game designers to develop maths models
- Work with server teams to implement, test and verify
- Help come up with new game concepts & mechanics

**What skills and experience do I need?**
- Super strong mathematical skills
- Some ability to program in a high-level language (C++/C#/Java/etc)
- An interest in gambling and the mathematics of gambling
- Good written and spoken English
- Creative thinking

**What else might be handy?**
- Skills in other languages (e.g. C#, Python, JavaScript) are very beneficial.
- A passport is useful - you may well be travelling abroad to visit exhibitions and clients.
- An interest in gaming is good as you will hopefully want to contribute to game design

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
