An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Christie Pathology Partnership (CPP) for a Cytogenetic Technologist to join our Cytogenetics department.

Work as part of a team to provide an effective and high quality genetic analysis service to aid the diagnosis and treatment of patients with leukaemia and other cancers. Perform technical procedures relating to cytogenetic investigations, within standard operating protocols, and within agreed quality standards of service delivery and turnaround times under the supervision of Senior Technologist. To be able to rotate through all areas of the laboratory as required. Full details of the role can be found in the attached job description.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of laboratory techniques and practices, preferably in cytogenetics.
- Ability to perform technical duties and fine laboratory work requiring a high degree of manual dexterity.
- Ability to work accurately with a good degree of numeracy & interpretive skills.
- Understanding of the requirements for good laboratory practice.
- Good interpersonal and team working abilities
