Field Merchandiser

**Who are we?**

Flooring Superstore is an award winning online and offline flooring retailer. We sell a wide range of floor types including specialist brands focused on smooth flooring and artificial grass. After starting out online back in 2012, we have gone from strength to strength and have grown considerably in size. We began opening up retail stores over 7 years ago to compliment our online presence. Since then, we have opened 40+ stores nationwide, with many more planned to open in 2024 and beyond.

As part of our growth, we are looking to appoint a Field Merchandiser. In this role, you will be a key part of our merchandising team, with a particular focus on our store portfolio.

As we continue to grow, we plan to open over 100 stores across the UK. This role comes with the exciting responsibility of setting up and dressing each new store we open, ensuring our high standards of display and presentation are in place ready for each Grand Opening Date.

As a growing and ever-evolving business, we are regularly updating our offering with new and upgraded products. Another key part of this role is the ongoing responsibility of product launches in our stores, making sure deadlines are met and standards consistently upheld.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintaining store condition and visual merchandising standards, ensuring all stores display correct samples & POS according to range plan
- Co-ordinate the fit out and opening of new stores throughout the country, ensuring they are readily prepared for the Grand Opening Date. This includes ordering display sample stands, sample boards boards and point of sale.
- Collaborating with the Head of Buying & Merchandising and Merchandising Manager to help build a strong commercial store display and present products effectively
- Be the point of contact for all stores for any replacements or improvements made to individual stores
- Working closely with the Buying & Merchandising team to ensure an awareness of all new products are launched with retail on time and in line with the department critical path
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure POS is created for new products, as well as any new ideas on current products are presented and created
- Develop positive working relationships with all suppliers of display samples and POS
- Assist the Merchandising team with key ad-hoc tasks

**Requirement for the job**
- Previous merchandising experience would be advantageous, but not essential.
- You will need to have a full clean driving licence.
- You will be based at our head office in Bishop Auckland in between store openings however frequent travel will be required throughout the UK to prepare for new store openings.

- Basic Microsoft Office/Google Sheets knowledge
- No previous flooring experience is required
