Band 2 Equipment Library Support Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Equipment Library at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust to support the daily operation of the Medical Equipment Library Services to provide a 1stClass service to patients across the hospital.

This post involves supporting the daily operation of the Library Services at the Royal Berkshire Hospital which runs 10-hours a day, 7-days a week.

You will provide a complete and effective decontamination service including cleaning, testing, repair, calibration, packaging and delivery of all the equipment library devices.

No specific experience of working in an Equipment Library is required, as all training will be given.
- Adequate numeracy & literacy skills.
- An ability to work as a team & create good working relationships.
- Flexibility in range of tasks & duties.
- Good general health & wellbeing.
- Willingness to undertake training & development.
- Committed to providing 1st-class service in the interests of patients.
- Comply with the processes to ensure patient safety.
- Carry out decontamination/cleaning, testing, calibration, collection and delivery of the Equipment Library devices.
- Maintain accurate records on the Clinical Engineering database of all equipment loans and rentals delivered to the wards and patients and, any renovation work carried out to Equipment Library devices.
- Assist with the maintenance of consumable stock levels by updating the Equipment Supervisor of minimum stock levels.
- Work with Library Supervisors to manage workload and rota.
