This is an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified Speech & Language Therapist to join our growing team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Speech & Language Therapist who wants to work in a setting for 57 secondary aged students with special educational needs. This is a permanent role full-time starting as soon as possible.

You will be responsible for your own caseload, delivering therapy treatment programmes on an individual basis and supporting the wider staff group to understand and undertake any set programme you put in place.

You will be required to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

You will be responsible for representing the school at annual review meetings for each child or presenting a report for this meeting. You will also be responsible for any training that the overall staff group may need to carry out your set programmes.

You will work alongside the a team to design bespoke intervention packages utilising your professional judgement. You will receive support from an enthusiastic team of teachers, teaching assistants, learning support and other therapists with the overall aim being to maximise each child’s potential in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Be a fully qualified Speech & Language Therapist

Be confident, enthusiastic and have a passion for professional development.

Have excellent written English skills with good reading, writing and numeracy skills.

Possess the ability to build good working relationships with children, teachers, parents, and support workers.

Have the ability to promote positive behaviour in a nurturing environment.

Have experience of working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs, in particular Social Emotional Mental Health, Autism and behaviours that challenge.

Start date: ASAP

Salary £24,000 - £30,000 dependent upon experience.
