Emerging Futures are looking to recruit a passionate and dedicated Team Leader to provide strong, visible operational leadership and direct line management to the team responsible for the delivery of our Prison Link project across Birmingham.

The post holder will manage a team providing support to individuals leaving the prison system and assisting them into structured treatment with our partners Change Grow Live. You will provide direct support and guidance to team members on risk management and Safeguarding.

You will be responsible for coordinating assertive prison links with prisons in the West Midlands and leading the management of referrals, case management, and ensuring a high standard of recording on our internal database, whilst holding a caseload of individuals yourself.

Working closely with partner organisations, clinicians, social enterprises, education, and training providers, you will develop recovery pathways to support and create opportunities for meaningful learning and activity in the community.

You will also be responsible for strengthening external partnerships with community agencies and resources, health and treatment agencies, mutual aid groups, and supported housing providers, including networking widely to build on new and existing relationships.
- This position is a fixed term contract until 2024._

- Ensure services are safely managed in line with the contract and key deliverables.
- Providing coaching, wellbeing support, training, and supervision to enable your team to deliver their roles, grow and reach their fullest potential.
- Ensuring services and activities are coordinated, efficiently managed and financial and human resources are maximised to ensure colleagues feel valued and able to work effectively.
- Managing all employee relations (HR) issues within your team and support the recruitment, induction and training of staff and professional volunteers.
- Ensuring the effective implementation and compliance of serious untoward incident reporting in line with policy and procedures, carrying out investigations and implementing lessons learned.
- Empowering your teams to capture additional data, local information, achievements, and concerns which evidences quality across the organisation.

- Experience of supporting individuals to initiate and sustain long term change such as health gains, sustained recovery, education, training, and employment in the community.
- Excellent leadership and line management skills and the ability to enthuse, motivate and develop a small team to deliver results.
- Experience of managing adult social care and services within the third or public sector.
- A comprehensive understanding of utilising community resources and the concept of in-reach and active partnership working.
- Passionate about social justice and an advocate of asset-based, collaborative working practices.
- Experience of managing, developing, and supporting staff in a challenging and demanding environment.
- Fun, approachable, energetic, confident, warm, creative, empathetic, determined, ambitious, flexible, resilient, discreet, organised, and professional.
