Asset Controller

Elevation Recruitment Groups Accountancy & Finance division have an excellent opportunity for an ambitious & enthusiastic Asset Controller, to join a key client based in their Long Eaton Offices.

This is a fantastic role in a fast paced environment, where you can really get stuck into the duties and have full autonomy of your role. Working alongside the Asset and Transport Supervisor, your main responsibility will be to supervise and control all aspects of Asset activities.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Asset Controller Include:

- Foster an environment of good communication between Finance, Operational Management, and the Branch network
- Manage the asset process, ensuring changes are properly authorised and accurately recorded, and asset registers are maintained and reconciled
- To produce month end reports each month
- Manage and control the stock take process, ensuring discrepancies are swiftly investigated and processed accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure appropriate department procedures are maintained, updated and documented
- Provide support to team members and ensure cross-training in place within the asset/transport team to provide cover as needed
- Provide financial information to Divisional teams
- Suggest and participate in process improvements, only changing processes where authorised
- Maintain and document procedure notes for any allocated areas of responsibility
- Under guidance, monitor and complete any required tasks within the shared Asset/Transport mailboxes

Key Skills & Experience:

- Good knowledge of excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to communicate across all levels of the business
- Educated to reasonable level
