Manchester Adult Education has an exciting opportunity for a passionate Leadership and Management Lecturer to join our Vocational and Employer Responsive team. The role will involve the planning, delivery, assessment and moderation of part time adult courses from Level 1-3, specifically Leadership and Team leading programmes.

Other courses within the curriculum area include:
Health & Social Care/Adult Social Care

Early Years/Education/STLS

Health and Well-Being pathways (Mental Health, Well-being & Counselling)

Team leading

Professional development pathways such as Supporting Individuals with learning difficulties, Supporting behaviour, substance abuse

As a Lecturer you should:
Have a track record of successfully delivering teaching/training on Leadership programmes and experience within a leadership and management role (essential)
Hold a degree and or a higher-level vocational qualification
Hold GCSE A* - C / 9 - 4 in English or equivalent (essential)
Hold GCSE A* - C / 9 - 4 in Maths or equivalent (essential)
Hold Assessors qualifications (desirable) or willingness to achieve
Hold a teaching qualification (desirable) or willingness to achieve
Commitment to develop your teaching skills/qualifications and occupational competence (essential)

You should be able to demonstrate:
Professional and academic competence/qualifications to teach on the qualifications.
Experience of adopting a range of teaching and learning strategies
Use of e-learning platforms such as Equal, google classroom and others or the willingness to learn

Key Accountabilities:
To deliver teaching and learning to at least a consistently good or outstanding standard
To assess accurately learners, work both formatively and summatively against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure learners achieve their qualifications.
To teach online lessons (where appropriate) as well as teaching in our centres across the city as needed, this may involve the occasional evening class
To take some course leadership responsibilities
To take part in team meetings and working groups
To comply with the services quality assurance procedures
To comply with the services policies and procedures
