Parts Feeder

Acorn by Synergie is currently seeking Part Feeders to join their well-established client based in Pentwyn, Cardiff on a permanent basis.
Employment: Full-time, permanent
**Salary**: £21,024.39 per annum plus 25% shift premium
Hours: Afternoons, working Monday to Thursday 2pm - 10pm, and Friday 12pm - 7pm
Role objective:
- Main function of the role is to effectively ensure that the correct parts are supplied on time to production
- Ensure all run switches are followed and supplied in line with the BOM
- Ensure that all returns are carried out on a timely basis
- Control material in line with ISO requirements and follow all production and warehouse process flow requirements
Key responsibilities:
- Receipt, safe storage, movement, and issue of material manually, and/or using mechanical handling equipment (i.e. Pump Truck)
- Carry out stock checks of materials
- Reporting any problems relating to materials or equipment to Material Controller or Section Leader
- Reporting of any potential safety hazards to the Material Controller / Section Leader
- General housekeeping duties and Health & Safety to keep work areas safe
- Responsibility of controlling scrap + rejects
- Following ISO procedures (i.e. bill of materials)
- Assist with any ad-hoc duties as and when required
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- Good numerical skills
- Good communication skills
- Good flexibility and adaptability
- A positive, enthusiastic approach to their work
- Previous parts feeding and component knowledge would be an advantage
- Shop floor process skills would be an advantage
