Ntp Tutors

The Student Mentoring Company are looking for tutors as we look to support schools as part of the National Tutor Programme. This programme was set up to help children whose education was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The programme allows small groups of students to receive up to 15 hours of additional tuition.

To be an NTP Tutor you will need to be one of the following:

- Qualified Teacher with QTS or equivalent; ideally English, Maths, Science or Modern language specialism
- Graduate with a degree in English, Maths, Science or similar
- Teaching and Learning Support Worker with relevant qualifications or at least 6 months experience
- Be able to work effectively with small group ratios, 1:1, 1:3
- Be flexible and committed to delivering engaging, challenging, and developmental sessions

Roles & responsibilities for tutors includes:

- Planning and delivering tailored programmes which complement ongoing class work, learning objectives and assessment plans along with the class teacher
- Delivering tuition face-to-face or online (or both) and adapt the content, style, format of the tuition to ensure the most effective results are achieved.
- Building strong relationships with pupils and school contacts through session delivery, weekly review meetings, tuition progress reports and feedback

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £35.00-£55.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cambridge: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- DBS barred lists check (required)

Work authorisation:

- United Kingdom (required)
