**Job description - Mobile Fitter**
Permanent, 40 hours per week

**General information**
As a Mobile Fitter you will be part of a professional maintenance team that are responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining both plant & welfare products on customer sites throughout the UK. Your knowledge, strengths & creativeness will be required to be demonstrated daily, to support the flow of Field Maintenance Services Operations.
In the role you will have an overall focus on safety, quality, productivity & costs. Mobile Fitter will be required to work alongside other team members on similar tasks & will also offer professional support to our customers.
The Mobile Fitter role is to primarily support the customer base but when asked they will be ready to support the hire operations team in the depot. Mobile Fitter must be passionate about working in a very busy time-sensitive environment & must be able to adapt to operational changes as & when required.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
Safety
- Required to have good safety awareness & able to work in a safe professional manner, this includes good housekeeping, correct use of personnel protective equipment, attending regular toolbox talks & near miss reporting.
- Regular contact with planners to ensure you are safe whist working on sites.
- Ensure your PPE is in good condition and correct for site use.
Quality
- Provide a high-quality repair and maintenance service.
- Carry the correct parts to ensure first time fix.
- Preventative maintenance -Whist on customers sites check Garic equipment and repair/Report any issues.
- Communicate with customer regarding work required.
- Identify damage and ensure this is communicated with FMS desk.
Cost
- Accurate diagnoses of fault to eliminate repeat visits and reduce exchanges.
- Correct route planning to avoid delay.
- Provide high quality repairs.
- Highlight potential issues which could result in breakdowns.
Delivery
- Communicate any delays with FMS Team
- Ensure all daily workloads are completed.
- Be on site at the times agreed with the customer.
People
- Working as a team - Be willing to operate within a team & offer support to the wider team if required, this may also include supporting other depots through periods of annual leave.
- Flexible, you will be required to work extra hours and on some occasion work in other areas.
- Demonstrate professional behaviours in line with Garic’s behavioural framework & core values.
- On site you will be customer facing and representing Garic always endeavour to resolve the issue for the customer whist upholding Garic’s values.
**Person Specification**
**Essential**
- Mechanical engineering background.
- Low volt DC experience e.g., automotive.
- Experience working with diesel generators.
- Basic plumbing experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
**Desirable**
- Basic fabrication.
- Basic hydraulics.
- CSCS site card
- Mechanical engineering or automotive.
- Automotive electrical qualification.
