Trainee Grinder

**An excellent opportunity for a Trainee Grinder to join a well-established company based in Rickmansworth, Herts.

**About the Company:
First established as a Limited company in 1977, specializing in precision Grinding - and quickly became a leading specialist in the field. They offer ‘The Complete Package’ by manufacture of parts and sub-assemblies complete to a wide range of customers in sectors including Aerospace, Defence, Oil & Gas, Motorsport (including Formula 1), Food/Scientific and Medical to name a few.

Due to the expansion of their Grinding Department, the company are now seeking a Trainee Grinder to join their busy and expanding engineering team on a permanent basis.

**Duties will include:
- Learning how to set and operate Cylindrical, Centreless and Surface Grinders ready for use, alongside other machines and equipment in our busy Grinding Department.
- Receiving hands-on training and gaining experience under guidance and supervision from skilled colleagues.
- Gaining experience and knowledge of grinding parts to tight tolerances and using various types of measuring equipment including laser measurement.
- Learning how to check parts against technical drawings and related documents.
- Keeping work areas tidy and maintaining paperwork / traceability at all times in relation to our ISO 9001:2015 Quality policy.

- No experience is necessary; however, some engineering experience would be an advantage;
- A good mathematical mind would be beneficial.
- Able to demonstrate you have a technical mind and would be able to understand technical drawings and related paperwork with the appropriate training.
- Computer / IT skills.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.- Fast learner.
- Team player with a positive and energetic 'can do' attitude.-
**Working Hours:** Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:00pm - Friday 7:30am to 1:00pm.

**Salary:** Competitive salary (depending on experience) + Overtime (at time and a half).
