Teaching Assistants

We are seeking exceptional individuals to join our team at our Chestnut Centre in Brixham which provides support to children at Key Stage 1 and 2 who are experiencing difficulties in maintaining a placement in mainstream school as a result of their social, emotional or behavioral needs.

We have a variety of full and part time positions available ranging from 2, 3 or 5 days
- 32.5 hours for 39 weeks per year (term time only). The starting salary (actual) is £15,653.84 per annum for full time.

The successful applicants will have proven experience of working with children with challenging and vulnerable behaviours and will be able to demonstrate commitment and expertise in improving educational and social outcomes for them. Knowledge of the primary curriculum and experience of supporting children with a range of interventions in literacy and numeracy is essential. Knowledge of Thrive would be a distinct advantage.
