We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team to work as part of the essential support function of the Wellcome Genome Campus, to provide an effective and customer focused service.

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will operate to agreed service standards and levels. Carry out various tasks on a rotational basis, which will include some heavy lifting.

We have just moved into a newly refurbished Logistics Hub, which provides an ergonomically designed warehouse, along with a lounge and kitchen area.

We work as part of a larger job family including Procurement, Finance and Supply Chain, and opportunities for progression and training are available

This is a permanent and full time role and working hours are 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

You will be responsible for:

- Goods in processing,
- Sample receipting,
- Inventory order picking
- Portering of deliveries to various buildings on Campus in our own transit van
- Moving of equipment for disposal or relocation

About You:

- You will need to have to ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- You will have good organisational skills.
- To have a good level of written and oral communication skills.
- To have good IT skills

Essential Skills:

- Previous goods in experience in goods in
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to drive a Reach truck an advantage

We provide bioinformatics resources for the global scientific community and we deliver vital training in genomics and biodata to scientists and clinicians. We are at the interface of research and industry, translating science into tangible societal benefits.
- The Logistics department is an essential service supporting the varied sciences carried out here on the Campus.
- We are a small team of 10 who are skilled staff with many years of experience in this environment.
