**About the Role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced paramedic, with primary care experience, to work within the MSE Training Hub to lead and deliver important initiatives at an exciting time of expansion and innovation. The successful applicant will act as a champion for the paramedic primary care workforce across mid and south Essex, supporting practices and primary care networks (PCNs) to identify and facilitate an enhanced offer of support, education and career development for all paramedics, at any stage of their career.

This role is for a maximum of one day per week for a 12-month period.

In addition, the successful applicant will also:

- Possess excellent communication skills
- Be enthusiastic about the role of paramedics in primary care
- Be a self-starter, able to work independently and be self-motivated
- Have the ability to build good working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Be able to engage with and provide leadership to a range of colleagues

**About Us**:
The Mid and South Essex (MSE) Integrated Care System (ICS) comprises the Integrated Care Board (ICB), which is the statutory body for the NHS, and the Integrated Care Partnership (ICP), which is a committee of the ICB, and brings together key health, care, community and voluntary sector organisations across the area.

The ICS has a bold ambition to deliver improved outcomes for our 1.2m population through our four alliances, and we are placing clinical and professional leadership and the voice of our residents at the heart of realising this ambition.

Funded by Health Education England (HEE) and NHSE, the ICS Primary Care Training Hub is part of the MSE ICS People function and is responsible for bringing together education and training resources from NHS organisations and community providers, as well as local authorities.

Training Hubs are the ‘go to’ place for any information about primary care workforce, education and development. They play a pivotal role in supporting the recruitment and retention of primary care staff. Services include:

- Implementation of a wide range of recruitment and retention initiatives
- Career support for all staff in primary care from new to practice to mid and late career
- Approval of Training Practices and Educators
- Supporting PCNs with the breadth of workforce planning
- Embedding new roles through the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS)
- Procuring and developing education and training for the primary care workforce

As a key member of the training hub team, the paramedic ambassador will help inform, shape and develop strategies and initiatives aimed at the primary care paramedic workforce in mid and south Essex.
