**The Role / Location**

**Key Responsibilities**
- To maintain the centre to a high standard, providing a clean, tidy, safe and pleasant environment for customers, tenants and contractors.
- Waste Management including littler picking, removal of leaves, emptying bins, cardboard and pallet removal.
- Grounds keeping - cut grass, trim hedges and banking, spray weeds etc.
- Power Washing external areas and cleaning windows of vacant units.
- Weekly Inspections and logging, including vacant units checks, fire alarm testing and other routine health and safety checks.
- Monthly meter readings for all utilities.
- Action minor repairs / replacement of defective bulbs - report all defects to Centre Manager in an effective and timely manner.
- Maintain a key register for access to common areas and vacant units.
- Inspect and report any defects on fire fighting equipment to the designated Line Manager or other Authorised Person.
- Ensure that all windows are closed; doors and gates, both internal and external are locked at the end of each day.
- Liaise with contractors on site.
- Be on call in the event of an emergency.
- Ad hoc appropriate duties assigned by the Centre Manager.

- Knowledge of building cleaning methods and the use of electrical cleaning machinery e.g. power washing.
- Awareness of Health and Safety legislation and practices e.g. COSHH and/or CLP regulations.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical services such as boiler/heating equipment and monitoring of fuel, electrical and/or water usage.
- Experience in keeping and maintaining stock records.
- A minimum of one years’ experience working as in a similar role in a medium/large building.
- Previous responsibility for security of building, opening/closing and key holder duties.
- Essential Qualifications: hold a valid, full Driving Licence and possess a CSR card.
