Bridgewood is a firm of insolvency and restructuring specialists, offering advice and insolvency solutions to individuals and businesses in financial difficulty. Based in Nottingham but operating nationally, Bridgewood’s team consists of 15 experienced insolvency professionals, boasting in excess of 250 years of combined industry experience.

Throughout its 15 years of trading, Bridgewood has built a strong reputation for supporting its clients and giving advice they can trust. Bridgewood has an extensive network of accountants and solicitors whose clients have benefitted from its support and have over the years dealt with individuals and businesses of all shapes and sizes, from sole traders to multi-million pound operations.

Bridgewood primarily deals with corporate insolvency and manages a portfolio of circa 300 insolvency cases in total, with the majority of those cases being Creditors Voluntary Liquidations. Bridgewood is looking to recruit a graduate interested in beginning a career in the insolvency industry and who will join its team of insolvency case administrators. Case administrators are responsible for dealing with all aspects of insolvency case management and progression, under the supervision of Bridgewood’s Insolvency Practitioners, who act as officeholders in respect of its insolvency cases.

Main responsibilities:

- Maintaining an excellent level of service with all insolvency case stakeholders, including directors, shareholders, bankrupts, creditors, accountants, solicitors and agents
- Preparing statutory reports and other documents, to include progress reports, statements of affairs, SIP 6 reports, declarations of solvency and final reports
- Ensuring the timely progression of a portfolio of insolvency cases by adhering to a case diary system and maintaining case management schedules
- Requesting and pursuing information required from third parties to facilitate case progression
- Realising insolvency case assets in line with an agreed strategy, liaising with agents and solicitors where appropriate
- Investigating the circumstances leading to an insolvency event, by reviewing accounting and banking information
- Communicating any problems or any contentious issues identified to the Insolvency Practitioners and demonstrating problem solving skills by suggesting solutions
- Reviewing creditor claims and making distributions to creditors and shareholders where appropriate
- Dealing with employee claims to the Redundancy Payments Service
- Recording time spent on a regular basis and ensuring it is consistent with the proper performance of work

Skills and experience:

- Professional services experience desirable
- Organisational and time management skills
- Professional and punctual
- Absolute respect for confidentiality and the importance of statutory and regulatory compliance
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to develop mutually supportive and effective working relationships with members of the team
- Prioritises workload effectively

Further information:

- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday to Friday working pattern
- Hybrid working available upon completion of training
