The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a Logistics Planner to join the team based in Cambridge. In this position you’ll support the logistics department by being responsible for planning of internal logistics tasks, scheduling routes for samples collection and planning of gas supply.

This role will be a full-time permanent position based in brand-new facility at the customer site - The Discovery Centre, Bio-Medical Campus in Cambridge. Working hours: Monday to Friday, core hours

The Team

You'll work alongside 13 colleagues that come from diverse backgrounds, with mixture of experience and personalities. You’ll belong to our business department Lab and Product Services, which supports big pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.

What we're looking for
- Experience:

- Previous experience working in a similar Planner/Scheduler role and familiarity with gas logistics (helium, liquid nitrogen) and knowledge how to safely handle gas
- Computer literate, knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel), ability to input, collate and analyse data
- Exceptional attention to details
- Presenting customer centric mindset, resilience, and adaptability in a workplace

How you'll thrive and create an impact
- Monitoring all logistics requests for samples collections, raised by scientists via on-line system (ServiceNow)
- Communicating with 3rd Party Logistics/ Suppliers regarding gas, liquid nitrogen and helium deliveries
- Operating as a point contact for planning and analysis for the supply of gas to science
- Recording the fill data of liquid nitrogen and reviewing the processes for gas supply
- Preparation and analysis of data for management to present to customer monthly, such as liquid nitrogen fill data/vehicle data/internal delivery data
