XEIAD is a leading Structures Inspection and Investigation Consultancy, and an Infrastructure Services Contractor. As a Tier 1 supplier, we provide peace of mind for our clients, carrying out condition appraisals of their assets and completing minor civils works including structures maintenance and repair services to keep critical infrastructure safe.

**Main Purpose**

Ensure compliance with XEIAD values and company policies,

Assuring conformity with current HSE legislation as well as compliance with our customers' policies and procedures.

Working to the annual HSQE Plan, support company HSQE procedures and ensure industry best practice across business, in particular supporting the Highways & MUD division, and where required the Rail division.

Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues throughout the organisation at all levels and as well as with our suppliers and clients promoting effective Health and Safety initiatives.

**Responsibilities**

**Health and Safety**

Ensure that the Health and Safety of all staff is maintained at an exceptional level with zero accidents and incidents
- Support the promotion of Health, Safety and Wellbeing to colleagues, contractors and suppliers, managing the development of risk assessments and safe working methods.
- Highlight and manage any change to industry legislation and brief as appropriate.
- Provide professional support and guidance on Highways & MUD HSQE matters, including engagement with National Highways and the Health & Safety Executive.
- Support on all accident and incident investigations including liaison with clients and contractors.
- Support the Health and Safety reporting throughout the Highways & MUD sector, highlighting potential trends, recommending, and implementing interventions as required.

**Environment**
- Support the Head of HSQE in the provision of environmental advice and management as required

**Quality**
- Support the Head of HSQE in the provision of quality assurance advice, and management as required.

Support the HSQE monitoring programmes and ensure that all necessary HSQE audits and tours are completed.

Support the ongoing achievement of company accreditations.

**Reporting to**:Head of HSQE

**Qualifications or Training**:
Mandatory
- Minimum NVQ Level 3/NEBOSH General Certificate
- Office 365

Desirable
- Auditor qualification
- Environmental certificate
- IOSH/IEMA Membership
- CSCS card

**Experience and Knowledge**:

- Provision of health and safety support and advice including the
- delivery toolbox talks,
- production of risk assessments and method statements
- Experience in undertaking site safety inspections
- Knowledge of working in the highways/rail/defence or utility sectors

Knowledge and experience of rope access/confined space/working on or near water would be advantageous.

Hold a current valid driving license and preferably with access to a vehicle for attending XEIAD Offices/Sites

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £32,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
