**Buying Assistant**
Circa £23,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6B)
Manchester city centre. In this role you’ll split your time working from home and the office, ideally working 2-3 days per week from our Manchester office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy)

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Buying Assistant to join our Buying team. Co-op’s Buying teams are responsible for providing our customers with the products that they love, and this role offers an opportunity for you to see the results of your hard work every time you step into one of our stores and see our products on the shelves.

**What you’ll do**
- Support Buyers with managing the implementation of standard and promotional ranging
- Support with any promotional and systems-related admin/set-up
- Deal with a range of internal and external queries and disputes; working with suppliers to rectify product costs and financial disputes
- Make sure that we continue to work within the parameters set by the GCA
- Attend internal and supplier meetings with Buyers
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external partners to become the ‘go-to’ person for any queries
- Get involved in a wide variety of project work
- Gain an understanding of SAP with support and mentorship from your colleagues

**This role would suit people who have**
- The ability to organise and prioritise tasks within a fast-paced environment
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
- The ability to work with data and quickly adapt to using new systems
- Great communication, team-working, and relationship-building skills
- A food or retail background
