**About the Job**

Here at Ardmac we pride ourselves on being the contractor of choice for great clients and the workplace of choice for great people. We are currently looking for a Project Buyer to procure materials and to provide market intelligence for all departments with best value to maximise profit.

**Responsibilities**:

- Procuring at best value to buying programme agreed with Contracts / Surveying Manager.
- Ensuring budgeting targets are achieved.
- Sending out enquiries, collation of submissions.
- Attending pre-order meetings with Contracts Manager / Surveyor and Site Team.
- Drafting orders.
- Understanding of job specification and drawings.
- Attending post-contract review meeting.
- Developing relationships with Supply Chain.
- Materials expediting and planning.
- Continually reviewing the procurement function suggesting areas for improvement.
- Ensuring supply chain is regularly refreshed in line with procurement construction activities to meet Ardmac’s needs.
- Liaising with suppliers in relation to deliveries and order dates. Coordinating international deliveries including customs.
- Ensure that the terms & conditions of purchase orders are discussed & agreed in line with Ardmac procedures.
- Liaise with the supply chain & logistics department to ensure purchase orders are communicated in a timely manner including contract details, delivery dates/addresses, etc.
- Regular review of supplier price data base.
- Manage & support the purchase/ administration of posted employees benefits such as cars/apartments.
- Lead, manage & support (including training & development) of the Project based Administrators & Document Controllers on relevant projects.
- Researching new markets, products and manufacturing processes.
- Identifying quality standards and ensuring that all products meet those standards.
