Neighbourhood Warden

**Working Hours**:37 Hours per week

We are seeking someone to be a point of contact to staff and members of the public who will undertake all aspects of Zone Working. These will include:

- Street Cleansing
- Street Care
- Environmental enforcement
- Small works & maintenance tasks
- Community education & engagement

This role will be exceptionally active and will need an individual keen on improving quality of life for our residents and improving the street scene. Based in the North of Colchester the Neighbourhood Warden will need to be able to work on their own initiative whilst on patrol, with a ‘See it, Solve it’ attitude taking ownership of any issues and acting as a catalyst to resolve them.

This person will need to be self-motivated, be able to build and maintain relationships with public and Councillors and have confidence to work with the public on both education and enforcement matters, as well as experience of conflict resolution.

This role works on a shift rota that includes evenings and weekends.
