**Senior Care Assistant (Team Senior) - Nights: 31.5 hours per week**

**Fixed-term for 9 months (Maternity cover)**

**£15.21 per hour PLUS Receive 10% extra per hour for hours worked between 11pm and 7am on Nights**

Located just behind the beautiful and historic Folk Hall in the heart of New Earswick, York, **New Lodge** provides stylish apartments and care accommodation for the over 55’s.

We are looking for caring and compassionate people who have a flexible approach and a ‘can do’ attitude to join our care team.

The role of Care Team Senior is to provide relationship centred leadership and direction to the care and ancillary team as a shift leader. You’ll also ensure a safe, effective, caring and well led service to our residents and their families.

**About you**

It is a busy role and no two shifts will be the same and that brings with it the need for flexibility and resilience as well as thorough working knowledge of safeguarding, compliance and health and safety within an adult social care setting.

Above all though you must be caring, empathic and possess the people management skills that will allow you to contribute to leading a team that will provide a first-class person-centred approach to caring for others.

**What you need**
- Good working knowledge of compliance within a care setting, including safeguarding, incident reporting, medications management and health and safety
- Ability to effectively use IT, including Outlook, Word and basic Excel
- QCF/NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (and be willing to work towards Level 3)
- Experience of delivering personal care
